Meet the PERFORMANCE FORUM Jury
Launched in 2009, the PERFORMANCE FORUM was the first trend forum devoted to fabric categories such as BASELAYER, MIDLAYER, SOFTSHELL, 3LAYER, 2LAYER, HIGHDENSITY & LIGHTWEIGHT, SHIRT & PANTS, ATHLEISURE, AND WORKWEAR & HEAVY DUTY as opposed to fashion subjects. The philosophy behind the PERFORMANCE FORUM concept of providing a working tool for designers, buyers, and product managers has basically not changed since the beginning. The three structural pillars are the working nature of the forum, free and exclusive participation of all exhibitors, and finally, the jury consisting of resident and supporting textile experts. As of April 2015, PERFORMANCE DAYS has expanded the jury to include support from the brands to give them a greater voice in the selection process.

Alexa has many years of experience in the fashion industry and opened Active Sports Design in 2005. Her passion for sports combined with an understanding of what is needed and what works enables her to create great designs – be it for water sports or climbing sports. In 2009, she founded the PERFORMANCE FORUM and has guided its development continuously through the following years. She provides the perspectives of a designer and active woman athlete and her approach towards fabrics is to identify attractive fashion as well as functional products.
