These fabrics can be used as the second or base layer.
They are mostly woven and can have either a light or heavy quality. They can be elastic but also have to have functional properties such as quick dry, water repellant or breathable. They are used in sport shirts and pants for outdoor, hiking, climbing, biking, ski touring, fitness, and yoga.

Shirt & Pants November 2019

Here the manufacturers have made a great progress concerning sustainability. These fabrics convince with beautiful, fine natural fibres with a pleasant touch that feels good on the skin. Merino, Tencel, linen, kapok, hemp and cotton in beautiful blends and natural colours captivate in both a fashionable and functional sense. Paper yarn is a newcomer, as are yak wool or prints of oyster shell powder on the insides of fabrics, which all promise for climate comfort and odor neutrality.

Shirt & Pants May 2019

Lots of new shirt fabrics promise a summer 2021 that’s as exciting and fashionable as we’ve seen. Linen optics, lighter cotton blends and synthetic fabrics with punching holes provide for innovative surfaces. Instead of the classic check look, there are designs reminiscent of Asia, or of mermaids. The pant fabrics are all elastic, with more and more functional denim present, partly with Cordura or with antibacterial features. The various recycled or biodegradable fibres make this table particularly sustainable.
