They are ideal for professional wear for firemen, police, medical staff, lumberjacks, and construction workers and highly demaning outdoor sports.

These protective or particularly robust materials are on hand for the hard jobs. Very high abrasion resistance is an important issue, but the corresponding fabrics are surprisingly soft and very elastic. An especially abrasion resistant variant softshell is even available. Recycled fabrics and bio-membranes provide for sustainability, while there are other fabrics that are able to block the radiation from mobile phones. This category also includes the denims, now in particularly robust and abrasion resistant variants.

Many new colors make the reflectives that are essential to this category very interesting, e.g., the pink or royal blue. Even the high-visibility fabrics introduce new qualities such as recycling-fleece. A very attractive and abrasion resistant fabric was sure to earn a 100%-Jury-Like rating: The merino and Cordura blends. The cut and the degree of abrasion resistance are important for the trousers, which is achieved by classic Cordura as well as by the very light Dyneema grades and LCPs (liquid crystal polymers).
