BEST PRACTICE: Calculating Circular Textiles (External)

PERFORMANCE DAYS, Munich

Turning Regulation into Opportunity
In this session, experts Ruud Bongers and Cris Garcia Saravia Ortiz De Montellano from Maastricht University demonstrate how future EU textile policy can be translated into practical, measurable action. They connect Ecodesign (Blueprint) → Material Circularity Indicator – MCI (Scorecard) → ESRS E5 (Report Card) into one clear framework: Design for durability and circularity. Measure progress with an MCI score (0–1). Prove impact through transparent, ESRS E5–compliant reporting.
