We don't safe the world - but it's a start: Our Sustainability Pledge

At PERFORMANCE DAYS, we believe in the crucial responsibility of the sportswear industry in ensuring a safe and sustainable planet, one that aligns with the very essence of the outdoors we design our products for.

To fulfill this role, we are committed to the following core actions: supporting the development of sustainable materials, setting sustainability standards, educating the entire supply chain, and creating a more sustainable event for the industry.

We invite you to join us in this collective pledge to make a positive change. Together, we can turn our vision into a reality and foster a safer, more sustainable future for all.

We are a carbon neutral event with ClimatePartner

Climate Neutral Statement from Climate Partner.

ClimatePartner is a solutions provider in corporate climate protection. They combine individual consulting with cloud-based software that is unique on the market. They help their customers calculate and reduce carbon emissions and offset unavoidable emissions. This renders products and companies climate neutral, which is confirmed by our label.

They offer carbon offset projects in different regions and with different technologies and standards. The additional social benefits of the projects are particularly important to them and us. Their efforts are geared towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. ClimatePartner was founded in Munich in 2006. Today, their 70 employees are spread across offices in Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, and Yerevan. They work with about 2,000 companies in 35 countries.

As a result, the trade fair has already been able to take place as a carbon-neutral event since April 2020, or since it resumed after the Covid break in April 2022 with e.g. projects to support more clean wind energy.

Tree and Academy Program with Plant for the Planet

Plant for the planet logo in green with a tree top and 3 stylized people.

The fair is also a strong supporter of Plant for the Planet and sponsors their Tree and Academy Programs. Plant for the Planet’s goal is to plant a total of one trillion trees worldwide by 2030. Trees are an important resource in the fight against climate change because they can absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and store it as biomass. By reforesting areas lost to deforestation or other impacts, the organization can contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The fair organizers are also proud of the cooperation with Raddis Cotton. The aim is to support Raddis Cotton farmers in Southeast India in converting their farmland from degenerative conventional monoculture agriculture to a healthy, regenerative organic ecosystem.

Plastig Pledge as a member of the EOCA

European outdoor conversation association Logo

The European Outdoor Conservation Association is a group of businesses in the European outdoor industry who have come together to raise funds to put directly into conservation projects worldwide (except USA and Canada) - to give back to the great outdoors. In 13 years of existence, they have supported 121 projects to the tune of over €3 million and, as a not-for-profit organisation, every new member that joins them means more money for more projects.

As a member of the EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association), PERFORMANCE DAYS supports the Plastic Pledge, which will be recommended to all exhibitors on site at the fair. The initiative aims to help companies reduce their use of plastic and to promote a more sustainable economy in the long term. Companies that join the Plastic Pledge commit to achieving specific goals, such as, reducing the use of plastic packaging or recycled or biodegradable plastic, promoting the circular economy and recycling itself, and switching to more sustainable materials and packaging.
