PERFORMANCE DAYS – CREATIVE AREA

in collaboration with TheCube Archive

PERFORMANCE DAYS is known as the leading platform for functional fabrics and innovation. Yet performance has never existed without fashion. As performance and fashion continue to merge, the Creative Area reflects this evolution. It is a space where materials are not only assessed by technical standards, but experienced through design, emotion and cultural context. In collaboration with TheCube Archive and Luca Zanatta, Head of Fabrics & Materials Research at Diesel, PERFORMANCE DAYS brings historical garments, vintage performance wear and experimental pieces into dialogue with today’s material innovations. The curated pieces reveal how performance fabrics have always influenced fashion and how fashion, in turn, pushes performance forward. From early functional designs to contemporary reworked garments developed with advanced technologies, the selection traces the ongoing exchange between function and form. This area is a reminder that innovation is not purely technical. It is aesthetic. It is cultural. It is part of fashion history. The Creative Area invites you to explore how performance becomes fashion and how fashion shapes the future of performance textiles. Performance is function. Fashion gives it meaning.

TheCube Archive

TheCube Archive is an inspirational fashion archive with a digital platform for research and rental of garments and accessories. A creative environment in continuous evolution, it explores fashion, music, books and art to fuel trends and inspiration. Originally conceived as an internal research tool for Studio Chiassai, founded by Alessandra and Stefano Chiassai, the archive grew significantly over decades of traveling the world in search of inspiration. Recognizing its potential, Corinna Chiassai and Marius Hordijk transformed it into a resource designed to support the fashion community. Alongside its classic vintage selection, the archive offers special pieces reworked with modern technologies, unique designs, and contemporary items. With over 20.000 garments and accessories and ever growing, it is enriched by fabric books with swatches collected over 45 years of experience, exclusive knitwear trials, and a curated library of fashion books and vintage magazines. Welcoming fashion designers, stylists, musicians, costume designers, students and exhibition curators, TheCube Archive is accessible by appointment and all the garments and accessories are available for rental. TheCube is also the first digitally accessible archive in Italy, through its portal, the DigiCube, an online platform specifically engineered to be research-friendly for all fashion professionals.
