Sympatex and its mission to close the textile loop
With the Sympatex membrane, the functional specialist already offers laminates with textile waste from the circular economy.
The pioneer for sustainable functional textiles Sympatex was founded around 30 years ago. Since then, the world's population has grown by 50% and the earth's resource consumption has increased by 1.5 times its regenerative capacity. Sympatex wants to do not only what is legally necessary, but also what is technically possible to close the ecological cycle as quickly as possible. With the 100% recyclable, PTFE- and PFAS-free Sympatex membrane, which has been completely climate neutral since 2017, Sympatex already offers laminates with textile waste from the circular economy. The goal is for at least 50% of the raw materials required for the Sympatex laminate portfolio to come from a circular supply chain and to be fully recyclable again by 2025 - and even 100% by 2030.
