AGXX - The innovative, regulatory-compliant antimicrobial technology for textile functionalization
AGXX is the innovative antimicrobial technology from Heraeus, characterized by an innovative catalytic mechanism of action triggered by the interaction of two precious metals that convert oxygen into reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the presence of humidity. Because of its unique mechanism of action, AGXX can be used now and in the future in compliance with regulatory requirements. This sets it apart from other antimicrobial technologies, especially silver technologies. The AGXX additive can be incorporated into or coated onto textiles to provide an antimicrobial effect (even after 100 wash cycles). In April 2024, AGXX was honored with the Techtextil Innovation Award in the category “New Technology".
