Company profile

Fibe is revolutionising the textile industry by engineering cutting-edge technology to extract cellulosic fibres from potato harvest waste. This untapped waste, which amounts to 250M tonnes annually and cannot be fed to livestock or compost, has the potential to provide the entire world’s demand for non-synthetic clothing.

Our business purchases this otherwise valueless waste from UK farmers, providing them with an additional income. We then apply a patent-pending biological and mechanical extraction process to produce cotton-like fibres compatible with conventional spinning machinery. As a result, Fibe uses 99% less water, 82% fewer emissions and no land compared to cotton.

We have started with potato harvest waste, but our technology can be applied to multiple waste streams, opening up various avenues for further fibre extraction.
