The Performance Days welcomes Shepherd with something particularly special: the yarn of the “B1M265” fabric presented consists of 50% merino wool and 50% graphene. Graphene, the thinnest material in the world, boasts excellent functional features, is especially climate active and has excellent thermal conductivity properties. Shepherd is also the manufacturer of the world’s finest merino knit, the 13.5 micron merino knit. In addition, various natural fabrics such as yak, alpaca, cashmere, angora, flax, silk and bamboo are processed. The company is an official partner of DSM, co-developing the strongest knitted fabric, the Merino/Dyneema fabric. Shepherd also creates a fully bio-degradable merino blend fabric with DuPont and Lenzing.
