Newest developments in insulations

If there is one area that has shown great developments this season, it is Insulations. Topics such as: “Optimize resource usage”, “Reduce landfill pressure and support circularity”, are taken seriously today.

The developments in synthetic insulations now showcase partially Textile Waste Recycled Fiber to 100% post-consumer recycled material without loosing insulating properties such as exceptional breathability, moisture management, and stretch capabilities.

When it comes to the natural compositions of insulations, there are protein-based fibers such as wool and down that play a role and are developed in innovative new ways. In down you will find sustainable options such as 80% post consumer down, 50% regenerated white down, recycled down and down fibers. In wool you may find Merinolandschaf from Southern and Central Germany, traceable, blockchain-backed Nativa™ Wool or 40% pre-consumer recycled wool. Natural wool fiber properties are: body temperature regulation, warmth when wet, wicking and the ability to draw moisture away from the body and anti-microbial properties that help keep garments odor free. Down provides excellent wamth thermal regulation ratio. Traditional procedures are turned upside down as synthetics are constructed into a  featherless insulation product featuring remarkable washing resiliency and flowability. Down is blended with merino wool into a fixed layer that combines all the benefits of the natural materials with the advantages of working with a wadding instead of a loose blow fill.

In this material story and in “THE LOOP” you will find innovative new ways of compositions and engineerings of insulations by improving the properties and future responsibility.
