Product information
By a solvent-free lamination process, HDry bonds the waterproof/breathable membrane directly to the upper material, blocking water at the outermost layer and so eliminating moisture accumulation between the upper and the membrane. This allows to drastically reduce the need for DWR treatments (PFCs, PFAS) on the upper material, typically required in shoes with ‘bootie’ construction. In a nutshell, HDry technology combines outer material’s lower environmental impact and a significant increase in the component duration and therefore in the life of the shoe itself, a real feature of sustainability

HDry - Altexa srl
The insight that steered HDry's technological development is simple: move the waterproof and breathable barrier as far outside as possible to block the ingress of water to the outermost layer and prevent its penetration inside the shoe or equipment item. The HDry waterproof and breathable membrane is directly laminated to the inner side of the upper by a patented 3D lamination process and machinery, sealing the material and all seams in one step (tapeless). Water cannot penetrate the outer surface, so the boot stays much lighter, and feet remain dry and comfortable in any weather condition. HDry performance is tested according to: SATRA TM444 (waterproofness by STM640 centrifuge), TM376 (moisture management). HDry is PTFE-free, PFC’s free and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. HDry 'b5', the high performance bio-based membrane is now available too.
