EcoLactam® is the low carbon footprint precursor (caprolactam) to produce Nylon yarns. EcoLactam® has a footprint up to 70% lower compared to the global industry average for producing traditional caprolactam. Given the relative high share caprolactam has (>50%) in the total Cradle2Garment footprint, EcoLactam® is a good example how FIBRANT can contribute to significantly reduce the footprint of your Nylon based products.

Our new generation low carbon footprint (CFP) caprolactam, which sets a new benchmark in ultra-low CFP products, is called EcoLactam®. This product family includes EcoLactam® Impact, EcoLactam® Bio and EcoLactam® Circular. EcoLactam® based Nylon-6 has a 50-70% lower CFP compared to the industry average and therefore can significantly contribute reducing your scope 3 emissions.
