Product information
Ecologically responsible family of lightweight, breathable thermal insulations, giving new purpose to otherwise discarded precious materials. Recovered scraps of cashmere fabrics during the subsequent production of coats are upcycled to create warm and light insulations, using a patented process in three steps: firstly, recovered materials are gathered and sorted in Northern Italy; secondly, they are transformed through a mechanical process into very fine fibers; lastly, the fibers are blended with recycled Polyester, creating a high performing insulating mix, ready to be processed to create pads. The entire process is less impactful in terms of energy consumption, waste production, CO2 emission, no use of water. It allows the development of highly resilient insulation pads with extraordinary tensile strength qualities and consistent insulating capacity, without using new feedstocks. LUXEPAD comes with an eco-friendly chlorine-free finish and can be washed.
