Woven using BASF Ultramid® polyamide, a 100% bio-based nylon yarn made using a certified renewable material derived from castor oil. Maintaining identical high performance properties as its virgin polyamide-6 sibling. We bonded this fabric with a PET hydrophilic membrane to give it water proofing. The only piece that lacks is the inner nylon tricot backing which we are working to replace with a recycled nylon yarn that keeps the same performance as virgin nylon. The face is coated with a fluorocarbon free DWR finish and has been tested to hold high abrasion resistance.
