Does it really make sense to move sweat away from the body as quickly as possible, as sportswear manufacturers have maintained for so many years? Scientific studies actually show that our bodies use up to 97 per cent of their energy for heat management when we perform some kind of sporting activity. Ergo: Sweat protects the body from overheating, has a cooling effect and thus leads to less energy loss and higher performance. In line with these findings, X-BIONIC® developed a form of clothing that conserved energy by cooling the body when it sweats and warming it when it freezes.
