Why should fabric designers and producers care about upcoming EU legislation relevant for textiles now already?
In the last year a whole wave of sustainability legislation have been approved by the EU institutions, addressing textiles and apparel – regardless if garments are made in the EU or just sold in the EU. In addition, further critical requirements are yet to be adopted. These rules are not advisory; if you do not comply - you will not be able to operate in the EU market. Given that many of the pieces of legislation relevant for fabric designers are not adopted yet, it may feel very much like a moving-target to prepare for. However, given that suppliers will have to be ready and compliant before finished product manufacturers, it is critical to prepare. This workshop will explain why it is beneficial to already start preparing for upcoming legislation today.
*Please note that the workshop capacity is limited to 40 attendees and that we can not guarantee a secure spot on-site.
