Only using recycled fibres nowadays isn't enough while producing sustainable clothing. Starting from saving water and energy as well as bannig hazardous chemicals from the production process is an obligation for every party in the value chain. The well known journalist and editor in chief of SPORTSFASHION by SAZ, Ulrike Arlt, gives a review of the latest materials and technologies that help to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry, especially targeting functional textile brands.

Thanks to her great experience in functional fabrics and textiles, she is a valued partner for both, magazines as well as product managers. During her professional experience, she worked as an editor for several textile magazines as TextilWirtschaft and SPORTSFASHION by SAZ. In addition she is used to be a jury member at PERFORMANCE FORUM.
