Silk 2.0. Spider silk and beyond
Silk makes around 0.2% (or less) of the global fibre production. This, together with the fact that it is seen as probably THE luxury fibre par excellence, has very rarely brought silk under the spotlight - particularly so in the innovation space. Yet: silk does have interesting material properties that make it an attractive candidate for innovative developments: from fibre to medicine, food and cosmetics.
In this webinar we will briefly look at what silk really is, its credentials and characteristics, and then delve to ongoing and recent innovation efforts in the makes or on the market.
