Purtex® WR - innovative and eco-friendly polyurethane emulsion for durable water repellent textile finishes

Purtex® WR is an innovative DWR finish that achieves outstanding washing and abrasion resistance thanks to the cross-linking of a reactive polyurethane emulsion on the fabric. Purtex® WR provides textiles with durable protection against wear and makes them pleasantly soft and supple.  The durable water repellent effect is caused by the covalent implementation of hydrophobic copolymers based on silicones and/or paraffines which also exert a positive influence on the softness of the finished textile. Purtex® WR offers functionality and comfort without presenting a hazard to health and the environment. It is free from e.g. fluorocarbons, APEO as well as solvents and can be applied with all usual wet finishing machines. Purtex® WR can be used in: outdoor and sports clothing, workwear, protective clothing, healthcare and home furnishings.
