Dialog: PrimaLoft’s 360° approach for an environmentally sound future of textiles

Mike Joyce is the president and chief executive officer of PrimaLoft, Inc., a global materials science company based in Latham, New York with offices in Xiamen, China. For approximately 30 years, Mr. Joyce has worked in the textile business gaining valuable experience in an array of segments, including sales & marketing, technical design, global R&D, global IT, global operations and global procurement.

Prior to PrimaLoft, Mr. Joyce enjoyed a 24-year career with Albany International Corp, a large, global industrial textile company, where he held several senior management positions including serving as president of their applied technology group and led a team of 2,500 employees. Mr. Joyce’s diverse background and experience provides him with a unique perspective on the current and future challenges facing the industry.

He is a 1985 graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the advisory board of the College of Engineering as well as a member of the board of directors of the Outdoor Industry Association.
