Interesting times: We see a growing demand with our customers for 3rd party verification, while new systems enter the market. Harmonization of standards seems to be a new key driver for the textile industry, from the Green Button label in Germany to the ZDHC initiative. This session will provide a heads-up on global developments and industry drivers and will demonstrate how independent proof becomes a success factor.

About the orator
Dr. Jan Beringer studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart, graduated with a PhD in textile and fiber chemistry and is with Hohenstein since 2003. After several positions in the company – i.e. head of R&D – he joined the Customer Service Team as Scientific Expert in 2019 to support the company worldwide with his extensive knowledge in textile and fiber chemistry, coating and finishing and clothing physiology in terms of performance apparel and PPE, especially in customized and multidisciplinary customer projects. In addition, he is member and/or convenor of several standardization committees on German, European and international level.
