We know that LCA’s require a large amount of data entry – then some magic happens and then we get a number out at the end.

However, let me ask you; Do we really understand what that number represents? What does it mean to us – as a business or on a personal level? And how will it really change what we do?

I would like to share with you how food and diets make LCA’s easier to digest (and understand!)!  😊

And then let’s consider why LCA’s are important for the future within textiles and how LCA could, and should be used within businesses – and your everyday work.

It is time to demystify LCA and encourage widespread understanding and adoption for ‘normal’ people.

Bowie was inspired to join the textile industry and understands the need to drive for a better planet.

She is a passionate and versatile textile professional with an intrinsic appetite for innovation and sustainability.  She has diverse experience of 20+ years in design, fabric manufacturing and product development through to retail, trend directions and innovation.

Her vision is to support the textile industry through sharing her experiences and knowledge, bringing the value chain players to an equal playing field.

Bowie’s unique personality allows her to embrace new challenges and create a positive impact by bringing people with her.

She is currently working as a consultant with Textile Exchange, in the Impact Data and Measurement team, and working on the fibre LCA’s to support the industry baseline.  In addition, her textile expertise brings opportunity to work closely to the EU regulations and legislations.
