Hybrid technology - a smart experience
‘HYBRID’ A hybrid is a mixture of two different things, resulting in something that has a little bit of both. Hybrid is really most at home in the realm of genetics and crossbreeding. It actually comes to us from the Latin hybrida, meaning the offspring of two dissimilar animals, specifically a tame sow and a wild boar. Creating an approach to the design of hybrid technology in textiles is a design process itself, creating a smart experience. The next step is how to integrate the textiles into product design, putting attention to the right balance between knowledge of the market, technology and creativity. Shaping ideas to become practical and aiming at attractive propositions for users or customers.
