You need to be logged in, to watch the webinar below:
According to the current challenges but also opportunities in the textile industry, more systemic sustainable solutions need to be found to address and reduce negative environmental impacts. The Hohenstein offers assistance in the relevant areas of microfiber detection, biodegradability testing and measurement of the potential ecotoxicological impact of textile products on the environment. By identifying the potential environmental impacts throughout the lifecycle of your product, causes can be determined and identified, and specific countermeasures can be developed.
About the orator
During my apprenticeship and my garment engineering studies at HTW Berlin, I got an intensive insight into the textile and garment industry and, particularly regarding its impact on nature and human beings and the subsequent challenges for us all. It became my heart's mission to design and investigate sustainable solutions and possible change of perspectives, from my thesis on biodegradable toothbrush bristle to co-developing the new test method (DIN SPEC 4872) on measuring the environmental impact of microfibres.
