PERFORMANCE DAYS, Munich

Presentation Area next to the PERFORMANCE FORUM

Fibres are one essential -maybe even the most important- element to describe the properties of a fabric besides knit/woven patterns and chemical treatments. Especially in athleisure, the different materials and compositions play a very important roll. Therefore the presentation will compare natural fibres such as cotton, merino wool, cashmere, angora and chemical fibres such as polyester, polyamide, acrylic, microfibers, elasthan based on many pictures. Thanks to a smartphone tool, 100x enlargements are possible and reveal more about the fibres and the structure of the examined textiles. Dr. Kampen will identify the fibres in the fabrics and elucidate the benefits of these fibres for you.
