From Ambition to Action: Circularity in the Outdoor Industry

PERFORMANCE DAYS, Munich

Sustainability Stage

Wednesday 14th October 2026

13:30 - 14:00 CEST

Repair, resale, rental, refurbishment, take-back, recycling, many organisations are exploring circular business models, but where is the outdoor industry really today?
This session presents the findings from new European Outdoor Group research exploring the current state of circularity across the sector. By mapping industry activity, challenges and priorities, the research provides a clearer picture of where progress is being made and where barriers remain. The session will also showcase collaborative initiatives designed to accelerate practical implementation, including the EOG Repair Working Group, the development of a Repairability Assessment Index, and the newly established Durability Working Group. Together, these projects aim to move the conversation beyond ambition and towards scalable, practical solutions.
