Functional clothing is an ever evolving cycle, and as new fabrics are developed the limitations of traditional seam construction (be they stitched or "fused") can restrict the Design, Fit and Function of any desired garment. This presentation will show how these limitations can be overcome with the replacement & introduction of a high elastic polymer that achieves the desired seam extension while retaining the expected sewing performance on the shop floor.

About the orator

Mr Jens Zeuke

Jens Zeuke has worked in the textile industry (from sewing machine service engineer, through seam technician, to key account manager) for over 20 years. The vast experience and knowledge gathered on this journey, particularly on seam and garment construction made him a Sewing thread expert. In this roll he has travelled extensively through Eastern Europe and Asia acting as both trainer and International sales technician, giving many seminars and practical demonstrations on sewing threads and its many uses to both Designers and Garment technicians alike. Today he acts as the Country sales manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Benelux.
