About the orator

Stewart Sheppard provides sustainability expertise and training within the Customer Success team at Higg, the sustainability insights platform for consumer goods businesses. In his role he ensures users understand how to best leverage Higg tools and data to support sustainability goals and strategies that help businesses make meaningful improvements to their environmental impact.

Stewart has an extensive background developing and implementing sustainability programmes within the outdoor industry. Previously, he worked at WL Gore, as an independent consultant focused on sustainability topics in ski resorts, and as an LCA practitioner for outdoor sports brands.

Stewart started his professional career as a financial analyst for large tech companies including Apple and Verizon in Paris before switching career paths to apply traditional accounting practices to sustainability topics. He has a business degree from the University of Dundee in Scotland and a Masters in Sustainability from SKEMA business school in France. He is also a board member for Protect Our Winters France.

In his spare time, Stewart is a PSIA certified ski instructor and enjoys freeride skiing in the Alps. He is also the father of a 6 ½ year-old little boy and a 4-year-old little girl.
