All along the textile production chain, green materials and treatments become more and more important driven by educated and demanding consumers. But how to address these requirements with credibility over the whole product lifecycle and not only focusing on picking a sole green material? The webinar gives an overview what can be already done at the input chemistry level, use/care and disposal to lower the environmental footprint of the textile product.
About the orator
Dr. Jan Beringer studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart, graduated with a PhD in textile and fiber chemistry and is with Hohenstein since 2003. After several positions in the company – i.e. head of R&D – he joined the Customer Service Team as Scientific Expert in 2019 to support the company worldwide with his extensive knowledge in textile and fiber chemistry, coating and finishing and clothing physiology in terms of performance apparel and PPE, especially in customized and multidisciplinary customer projects. In addition, he is member and/or convenor of several standardization committees on German, European and international level.
