About the orator

​​Daniel Etra is Director of Product Management at Higg, the technology company that helps brands, retailers, and manufacturers measure and improve their supply chain impact. At Higg, he oversees the product and design teams responsible for Higg's Product Design Tools, Higg Index assessments, analytics, API integrations, and transparency.

Prior to Higg, Daniel was Vice President of Product Development at Renew Financial, a consumer lending company specializing in helping homeowners finance major home energy and water upgrades to reduce their environmental impacts.

Before that, he managed programs and partnerships with Ecotrust, a non-profit whose mission is to inspire fresh thinking that creates economic opportunity, social equity, and environmental well-being. Previously, Daniel worked at an energy consultancy doing research on energy regulation, corporate governance and accounting focused on Enron’s manipulations of Western power markets.

Daniel is a graduate of Reed College with a BA in Sociology, and Pinchot University with an MBA in Sustainable Business.
