Pamela Ravasio has done more to make sustainability a central focus to the Outdoor & Sports Industries in Europe than anyone else.

Originally known as the person behind the Shirahime blog that won an Observer award about Fashion's attitude towards responsible environmental impacts she started to write for the industry's leading publication on such matters. Her articles helped lead the thinking of the whole industry that was concerned, but the need to talk with those who have expressed an interest is only half the requirement - it is those who do not engage with this thinking that must also be willing partners in the process.

Pamela was then asked to lead the Sustainability role within the European Outdoor Group. Not only did she bring clear lines of thinking towards the subject, but also a professional approach that meant the subject was considered at Board level of the member companies. It was here that she became known for getting answers to open ended questions. Before she left the pan European trade body the sustainability role was integrated within every employee's role, rather than it just being another department.

Now Pamela sits on various Boards creating the structure for better practice. She speaks 7 languages. The passion to let others improve is what motivates her, but so is the drive to get everyone to progress further & faster on this journey for the sake of the stewardship of this planet.
