The market demands products that are better for the planet than ever before, but in our quest to satisfy sustainability goals, we often forget one key component: people. How our materials come to be is just as important as factory working conditions, but we very often overlook the men and women who make our materials possible.  At Thread, these people are the soul behind the products we make, and an awesome opportunity to make your company and your fabric better than your competitors are. About the orator

Mr Ian Rosenberger

Founder + CEO

Thread

Ian founded Thread in the wake of the 2010 Haitian earthquake with the core philosophy that the biggest problem we face as a species is multidimensional poverty - ending it is entirely possible in our lifetime. To do it, we need to invest in the poor to create as many dignified, sustainable jobs as possible. Thread takes trash from the poorest neighborhoods in the world and transforms it into fabric, keeping it off the streets and out of the ocean. The Thread team supports over 3000 opportunities for income every day and has moved millions of pounds of trash from poor neighborhoods in Haiti and Honduras into fabric for brands all over North America.
