With sustainability becoming a core focus across all industries and aspect of our everyday lives, it is up to the fashion and performance industries to reduce the impact on the environment caused by manufacturing and garment development. Avery Dennison RBIS have strong sustainability values and clear goals to address the impact of apparel branding and manufacturing on the environment. This presentation will look at the macro-trends in sustainability influencing our product innovation and explore how the industry can become more sustainable without impacting product aesthetic and performance.

Mr Philipp Skal

Avery Dennison

Head of Global Sustainable Branding Solutions

With over 10 years industry experience, Philipp Skal's expertise is in product management, innovation and sustainability. Philipp joined Avery Dennison 12 years ago as Marketing Executive before joining the branding division and heading up the Global Innovation team for Permanent Branding Solutions. In this role Philipp focused on product innovation around market and industry drivers to develop future branding solutions. Thanks to his passion and strong values Philipp has recently been appointed to head up Sustainable Branding Solutions for Avery Dennison RBIS, where he is identifying and prioritizing sustainable opportunities across RBIS’ branding portfolio. Incorporating industry trends and consumer insights is integral to the role to ensure the future sustainable innovations meet the industry need.
