SUTAINOVATION stands for sustainable Innovation. The Material Scout and Product Designer Karsten Bleymehl is giving insights in two groundbreaking textile developments. One is a high performing rubberized Origami fabric from TrexLab Technologies (NYC) the other one a fabric made out of upcycled, pre-consumer denim/cotton waste from “The New Denim Project” (Guatemala). Hands on experience sharing a variety of samples and products included.

Karsten Bleymehl is a well-known materials expert and consultant for product development and design. He already worked for more than 60 brands from more than 20 sectors. As Director Library & Materials Research, Karsten made a decisive contribution to the build-up and management of Material ConneXion in Germany before he founded his own company: MRC–Materials Research & Consulting. MRC researches across sectors for material and technology solutions to realize innovative and sustainable products.
