Recycling, “sustainovation”, biodegradability - the past years have been proving that issues of sustainability gain more and more importance in the textiles industry. But what does sustainability truly mean? When do you know that your organization is sustainable? How can a concept be developed around it, that offers innovations as well as long-term value? How can this challenge together with the great technological acceleration turn out as a business opportunity instead of threat? These are the questions the presentation answers by introducing the scientifically underpinned systems approach. This approach does not only deliver structure where confusion has been before, but also leads to strategic solutions matching the needs of the real business world. About the orator
Rüdiger is Managing Partner at Sustainable Growth Associates (SGA) GmbH, a certified Benefit Corporation. He is also one of the founders of the recently established, non-profit association The Natural Step Deutschland e.V., a member of The Natural Step International, addressing sustainability with a systems thinking approach. Rüdiger looks back to almost 30 years of experience in the engineered products and high tech environment a. o. Siemens Automotive and Roland Berger. Applying systems thinking and following an integrated approach of Strategy, Operations and People Development, Rüdiger and his team strive for making organizations fit for the future in increasingly complex times within the limits of the planet.
