New ways in product development: Virtual Prototyping
Virtual prototyping is a product development technique that relies on CAD (computer-aided design) systems. It consists in assembling in 3D geometric shapes developed in 2D, in a way that virtually reproduces the characteristics of the final product: shape, appearance, movement and function.
