Judging objectively the function of different jacket material (German)

Function in functional clothing for sports textiles is achieved by beneficial thermophysiological properties - their heat and moisture management. Everybody is talking about "good breathability", but seldom giving comparable values. On the other hand these objective thermophysiological values could not only help for promotion but also during product development.

The presentation will focus on the wear comfort of different jacket constructions - Softshell, down and loden jacket. We will explain the idea of wear comfort as well as relevant values and their objective measurement. Exemplary results are shown for the comparison of the jackets. Furthermore the influence of different textile construction, e.g. fibre chemistry and finishing, on thermophysiology is presented.
