This unit explains the background of the necessity of UV protection. In this frame, the conjunction to the new regulation of Personal Protective Equipment is described. Different solution options are presented to solve the requirements of regulation and, finally, of consumer.

About the workshop organizer
After studying textile technology and technical textiles at Reutlingen University Dana Luley started working at Hohenstein Laboratories in 2016. She is working as Deputy Laboratory Manager at Spectroscopy Testing. Through studies and job she has experiences in spectroscopic analysis of textiles especially in textile UV protection as well as in heat transfer and heat management of textiles and car seat structures.
