To reduce the return rates of garments is one of the most important goals in retail. The knowledge about the target group in regard of body size and shape is the basis to overcome this challenge. Learn how 3D scanning technology helps you to define your customer group. And fitting tests with real test persons lead to brand identity across all sizes and size consistency.

Stephanie Brenner / Beate Urban

Hohenstein

Stephanie Brenner:
After studying garment technician in Hohenstein, Stephanie Brenner started her career as an assistant in technical management at Divina in Wil, Switzerland. There she was mainly responsible for the planning and control of the production of high-quality women's clothing. At 1998 she changed to the company Maier Sportswear and was responsible for the products ski, tennis and golf clothing.

She supervised the productions in Portugal, Italy and Vietnam.

Then she started her career in Hohenstein as assistant of the department of clothing technology. Since 2010 she´s division manager of the department.

She has long and profound experience in fit testing and handling size labels.

Anke Klepser:

After studying Sports and Education at the University of Heidelberg, she started her career by entering Hohensteins R&D department as a research project leader in 2007.

Her research work and experience focus on body acquisition with 3D-Scannertechnology, Anthropometry, Ergonomics and Sports.

Beate Urban:

After high school and final examination as a tailor and dressmaker, Beate Urban gained experience in textile industry as patternmaker and head of several pattern departments, for more than 35 years.

Since 2014 she got the opportunity to build up a pattern service department at Hohenstein. This is focused on developing and grading of basic and design patterns, as well as on workshops for patternmaking and fit. The pattern development is based on the use of 2D and 3D software.
