Sustainability in Textiles is More Than Just Recycled Fibres!
Only using recycled fibres nowadays isn't enough while producing sustainable clothing. Starting from saving water and energy as well as bannig hazardous chemicals from the production process is an obligation for every party in the value chain. The well known journalist and editor in chief of SPORTSFASHION by SAZ, Ulrike Arlt, gives a review of the latest materials and technologies that help to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry, especially targeting functional textile brands.

Ulrike Arlt is working as a well known independent journalist since more than 20 years. Thanks to her great experience in functional fabrics and textiles, she is a valued partner for both, magazines as well as product managers. During her professional experience, she worked as an editor for magazines like TextilWirtschaft and currently as editor-in-chief at SAZ Sport&Fashion. In addition she is a jury member at PERFORMANCE FORUM. Moreover she also knows the world of garment production as she formerly was a senior buyer at Sport Scheck and business manager in an outdoor store.
