The Impact on Virtual Fit
3D clothing simulation technologies can facilitate significantly shorter product development times with decreased prototypes and fewer resources. The advantages are undeniable. Often, though, users are confronted with a variety of challenges that are underestimated. One of these challenges is digitizing textile parameters and accessories. This presentation discusses methods for digitizing textile parameters and the impact on visual impression and virtual fit of simulated clothing.
About the orator
Simone Morlock has been working as clothing engineer and project manager at Hohenstein for more than 20 years. Simone is responsible for the Digital Fitting Lab, which combines the R&D and pattern departments. Her expertise is harnessing the potential of 3D-scanning and simulation technologies for size surveys, anthropometry, pattern development and fit optimization and function.
